Hello,

So, I have problem with internet speed on my PC. Everything worked fine for almost a year, but now I suddenly achieve 30 Mbps instead of 200 Mbps via ethernet (I also have higher latency, from 1-2 ms to 40-50 ms).

I checked internet speed on different devices (connected wireless) and everything works fine. I tried connecting to different router, I changed cable, used Wi-fi or USB 3.0 to Ethernet adapters. I also updated drivers for my network card, but I still have this issue.

It seems like something is wrong with the computer, but I don’t know what. I didn’t install any new programs lately neither.

Do you have any suggestions what may be wrong?

Specs:
  • HP Omen Obelisk 875-1040st
  • Realtek Gaming GbE Family Controller
  • Realtek RTL8822BE 802.11ac PCIe Adapter

Solution
Verify that only one network adapter is enabled on your PC.

Take a look in Task Manager and Resource Monitor. Determine what resources are being used, to what extent (%) they are being used, and what is using using the resource.

Go to the applicable network adapter's manufacturer's website. Manually download the current drivers. Reinstall and reconfigure.

Run "ipconfig /all" via the Command Prompt and post the results.
