I have an M2 SSD and Ryzen 7 laptop it wasnt slow until a couple months ago, still runs slow even after cleaning, reapplying thermal paste and even unistalling software and files that could be making it slower.
i know i could also reset windows, but i want to leave it as a last resort, really didnt want to reset it.

Any idea as to what could be causing this issue and how could i solve it?

Solution
What might have changed since a couple of months ago when all was well?
Possibly a less than good update??
Try using system restore to reset back to when all was good.

Another possibility is heat throttling.
I see many complaints about gaming laptops not performing well.
Usually gaming while plugged in.
One common cause is thermal throttling.
Laptop coolers must, of necessity be small and light.
The coolers are also relatively underpowered.
If you run an app such as HWMonitor or HWinfo, you will get the current, minimum, and maximum cpu temperatures.
For intel processors, if you see a max of 100c. it means you have throttled.
The cpu will lower it's multiplier and power draw to protect itself
until the situation reverses.

At a lower multiplier, your cpu usage may well be at 100%
What can you do?
First, see that your cooler airways are clear and that the cooler fan is spinning.
Use a windows balanced power profile, not the performance profile.
Set a minimum cpu performance to something like 20%

It is counter-intuitive, but, try changing the windows balanced power profile advanced functions to a max of 90% instead of the default of 100%
You may not notice the reduced cpu performance.

Start by checking temps on your hardware.
i belive its getting too hot and then it stabalizes after thermal throttling and it stabelizes at 60-70ishº c as in the next prints:

Idle:
left it on idle for a bit, this was the tempereture for most of the time, for some reason it had a spike to 83º c

stress test:
here in this one it got to 83.8 and stayed arround those temps for a little bit, even with the fan already kicking in before that, not really sure if it was the little fan alone, that in a matter of less than 3min got it really fast back down as you can see in the second image it didnt come back u from 60ishº c

im not sure if its the fan and thermal throttling getting temps, down or just the fan, but the computer has been slow.

My computer has a really small in and out for air flow but never had much truble with the temps even when using it for some 3d projects in uni with blender and 3ds max, but lately even the browser sometimes gets slow.

im going to try your tip of setting a min usage and power usage to 90%, but as you said about the 100c(even though mine its an amd it must be arround those temps too) maybe its not throttling.

its weird then i will try rolling back updates too after setting a min usage and power usage to 90%.

So i tried what you said it looks to be working better again, isnt choking with photoshop and other adobe apps i use and my browser is not slow anymore.

Thank you for your help and everyone!
