Question slow mobile hotspot connection

When I run a speed test on my Samsung Galaxy S20 I get over 675 Mbps download speed.

When I use my laptop and have the phone as the mobile hotspot, I only get 35Mbps.

The laptop is 4 yrs old and has 12 gig of memory installed. Running Windows 10 Home. The processor is only Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-8250U CPU @ 1.60GHz 1.80 GHz.

Your phone may have the hotspot defined for 2.4Ghz. Check the hotspot configuration. Set it to 5Ghz preferred.
