Slow motion/lag performances

Hi everyone! I got this weird problem lately. I recently bought a new gtx 770 msi oc edition so I also got assassin's creed 4 black flag and borrowed need for speed rivals to enjoy the new performances! I started with assassin's creed black flag and everything was great! maxed it out and played smoothly. Then I tried playing NFS rival and I had to update the visual C++ and I still had problems due to the FPS issue that caused the game to enter a slow motion/laggy state. So i messed around with the desktop shortuct (I read on the internet people using the cheat got the game to work) and still the game kept slowing down. Problem is, after uninstalling NFS and went back to play Assassin's creed, after a couple of minutes I get the same exact problem, game slows down and is all laggy and unplayable! One more thing, I am playing with my ps3 joystick and once the game slows down I can simply touch the mouse and speed goes right back to original..Can anyone explain to me what's going on and perhaps give me a solution?Thanks in advance people!

Completely uninstall the nvidia drivers and install from here -

Thanks a lot for the answer!I'll try it as soon as possible! I also recently found out that if I don't run the game as admin I don't get the problem anymore, if I switch back to that though, after exactly 2 minutes and 3 secs I get the slow motion kicking in..every time 2 minutes and 3 secs..Does this help in any way?

Edit: never mind, I get the same problem running normally after the same amount of time..I'll try your suggestion
