Question slow refresh

Hi, when I'm refreshing on desktop the icons taking almost 2 seconds to re-appear, what's the problem?

Specs:
CPU: i5 3470
GPU: GTX960
RAM: 16GB

Please explain what you mean by "refreshing on desktop". If your C: drive isn't an SSD, 2 seconds doesn't sound excessive if you're doing something that requires updating it.

Like when you right-click on desktop and press refresh, simple as that. Also, I have no SSD.

Not too atypical. My laptop with an SSD takes about 1 second to fresh the desktop.

So I highly doubt it's normal for a pc which has 16gb ram in it to take like 2 seconds for the icons to re-appear after refresh...

Absolutely normal. Especially if you have half a desktop full of icons. Has nothing at all to do with installed RAM.
