This is more of an observation than a complaint:

For all the hype and excitement and talk about how DDR is the great saviour of the PC (i know, i'm exagerating), especially in comparison to the P4 systems forcing RDRAM down people's throats, they sure are taking their sweet ass time rolling out the components. If rambus and everything else are such an inferior option to DDR based systems, why aren't the parts out there yet? And I don't mean a part here and a part there. I mean widely available (from mainstream vendors like Abit and Asus, et al) to the general public.

Just strikes me as odd I guess.

could it be too much old stock of SD-ram and thier MOBO, which all manufacturer and distributors and retailers need to throw before rolling DDR out, where no one would want to buy old tech anymore?

Best regards
