Question Slow running

For like a good period of time i've been experiencing slow running and even few seconds freeze when for example i am in a game and i go a bit alt+tab to search for something. Got an I5 4690k, 16GB rual RAM, Win 10, but the thing is it didn't happened before, but now it's just frustrating, it happens often, my CPU is using literally 100% (dunno if this is the real reason) and things freeze.
Is my CPU, i need more RAM, or what would be the reason for a problem i didn't had before?

what are rest of the specs of the PC? Is everything still original as its getting on in age.

Win 10 is on SSD, most games are on another SSD, got an HDD too. Got an gtx 1070 8gb. What info is needed more?

What brands are all the drives? Might help to check health of them
Can run Crystaldiskinfo (blue icons) on all of them , it will automatically find the smart scores.

Can the problem go that deep? SSD is Samsung, both, HDD is Kingston. Motherboard is AsRock. All icons looks fine with diskinfo.

142 out of 232gb SSD where Win10 is, 302 out of 931gb the other ssd.

does it happen in safe mode?

1. go to settings/update & security/recovery
   
2. under advanced startup, click restart now button
   
3. this restarts PC in a blue menu
   
4. choose troubleshoot
   
5. choose advanced
   
6. choose startup options
   
7. click the restart button
   
8. choose a safe mode (it doesn't matter which) by using number associated with it.
   
9. Pc will restart and load safe mode
