[SOLVED] Slow speeds on PC WiFi, fast speed on phone WiFI

Hi,

Hoping someone can help me with this issue.

I have a Hommie N900 802.11 a/b/g/n wireless networking card, which sees speeds around the 100mbps range. It never exceeds this speed no matter where my pc is located.

My internet speed to the router is 350mpbs and my phone (iphone XR) sees roughly 300mpbs anywhere in the house; even right at the wireless lan card on my computer.

I can't understand why my wireless card that's rated to 450mpbs with 3 antenna is getting a third of the speed of my phone at exactly the same point in my house.

In wifi status properties the adapter is showing full signal quality and 220mpbs speed.

I've seen that the iPhone xr has an 802.11ac chip, could this be the issue? Should I upgrade to a wireless card like the fenvi FV8802 that supports 802.11ac?

yes exactly, typical AC 600 clients connect around 200mpbs and AC1200 around 400mbps and the old N adapter is your connection limiter.
