[SOLVED] Slow SSD and USB transfer speeds

Hey all - hoping to get a resolve on this issue. Really slow transfer speeds on my PC:

AM4 / 2700
Asrock B450M PRO4
16GB 3200
HP EX950 (nvme)
GTX 1080 GPU

PC is running snappy overall, but when I do any sort of file copying on the SSD (Nvme) the transfer speeds are extremely slow. Sometimes KB/S. I have an almost identical build to this and it gets 100-200 MB/S transfer speeds.

The weird thing is Crystal Disk shows the "correct"

Very weird, any help appreciated!

In your screencap, it shows 28,000 files. Many tiny files is also a reason for being "slow".
yes but I also tried (3x) 1GB PSD files, same thing. it'll bump up to 10MB/s then hover at 1-2, sometimes go down to KB/S.

other PC's with the same stats it'll hit very high MB's in the hundreds or GB/s on an NVME. even with small files it shouldn't be anywhere near where this is, something is marjorly wrong.

Contact HP and see what testing tool they have for this drive.
See what it says.

Ok I will do that, I am also contacting AMD since this issue effects not only the HP drive but external USB 3.0 drives that I plug in to the motherboard or USB.

This evening I also added a PNY 2.5" SSD that was tested in another PC 20 minutes ago, and same deal: only 10MB/s at the highest, mostly hovering around 2-8 MB/s transferring large 512-1GB files and smaller files.
