Slow startup times after installing update.

Last night I installed a update. When it restarted I noticed my computer took a long time to boot up. Today was the same thing as yesterday. Two times I had turned on my computer and both times it took a long time to boot up. Before the update my computer would boot up in around 5 seconds and after the update it takes around 30-40 seconds. Do I have to uninstall the update to revert the changes or is there something else I need to do?

I'm using a 850 500GB evo and the update I installed was KB3124200

Hi,

Please do try these troubleshooting steps that may help in solving the issue.
- First is to run Windows Update again and install all updates available.
- Start by disabling all your startup items.
- Open Task Manager then click on Startup tab and disable all your startup items.
- Reboot your PC again once disabled and see if there will a difference.
- If these doesn't work do run System Restore and restore it back to an earlier date or time before the problem even happened.

I followed your steps but only made the boot time longer. I tried to do a system restore but I couldn't restore my system to a time before the update(I'm assuming I'm couldn't because I uninstalled the update). I reset my PC and that didn't fix anything.

Any ideas? I came from Win 7 and I still have my disc. Is there anything I can do with that disc?
