slow to get everything running help please

hi ive had my pc for just over 1 and a half years and recently it has been getting very slow for the first 10-minutes after i turn it on then its fine and fast as anything. my specs are as below

8gb ram
i5 3570 3.4gz
1tb hardrive witch only has 100gb left on it
gtx650

any ideas thanks

its probably just your hard drive. do you have your power settings set to balance or high? that can help boost responsiveness. If you can then get yourself a cheap 250gb ssd in the sales and run your system from that.
