I am running Windows 8.1 on an ASRock z97 extreme 4 mobo with intel ethernet connection (2) l1218-V network adapter that is up to date. I just bought a new Airport Extreme and when I check the speeds on my wireless laptops it is 15 down and 15 up which is already off. I pay for 200down/20up speeds but I live in an area where my upload has never been higher than 2mb/s. I assumed the new router had to do with the improved upload speed on my laptops.
When I went to my desktop and checked speeds, I found out that now I have 50down and a tiny .50up. I did not swap anything out except for the new router. Before the change I had 50down and at least 1.8up. Now, I can barely do any streaming because of my terrible upload speeds. I have tried changing advanced properties as was stated in other threads and I made sure everything is up to date. Does anyone have the slightest idea what might be wrong?
