Question Slow wireless network oo

My wireless network is running at 1-3. Mb with an ether net connection I get 50 Mb. What should I check

Need more info before starting with anything, what is the equipment you are using, has this been happening all the time for you, how far away are things from the router, what is in between them, etc..? Need details about the setup.
