Slow wlan transfer speeds

Having an issue with slow transfer speeds on a wireless network. My main computer connects to the router at 1000 mbps ethernet, laptop connects wirelessly at 270 mbps. Whenever I transfer a file from my computer to laptop wirelessly it will not go faster then 67KB/s. If I hook up 100 mbps ethernet to the laptop I get about 10MB/s transfer rate. Currently I run no firewalls on either computer or the router. I have already changed power settings on the wireless card and all settings to best transfer rate or connect always at wireless n. Also the router is set to maxium transfer rate.

My internet on the wireless machine can download files from the internet at 600-900kb/s right where it should be speed tests and my speed package put me between 8mbps and 10 mpbs

Also it should be noted that I can transfer files TO my main computer from my wireless laptop in the range of 600-900 kb/s. Still not nearly what it should be but much much better then my main comp can transfer to my wireless laptop.

If anyone has any ideas please let me know. I am almost positive it is something either in the wireless card settings or the wireless broadcast of the router but any and all advice would be helpful.

Thanks in advance.

Try different channels as different frequencies work better in some environments -- and particularly if you detect neighbouring wifi, move to a channel 5 stops or more from the strongest neighbour.

Try moving the computer against the wall nearest the router, raise the router above furniture level, relocate cordless phone base or video sender away from computer/router.

There are a lot of other wifi in the area but i have tried all channels and moving very close to router still wont break 50-60KB/s transfer rate.
