I brought Samsung 980 Pro 2 tb to see what high speed looks like, downloaded a single file 10gb and 50, and the write speed is about 2gb per second, its a gen 3 speed and i have 4 gen, people getting 3 gb and up per second (when copying large files of course) i tried latest amd patches and latest bios but still getting the same speeds.

gigabyte x570s master latest bios
5900x
palit gtx 1080 ti
seasonic prime gx 750
g skill 16gb 3200 cl 16
Cooler master mb511 mesh

i changed PCIe in BIOS from auto to gen 4, didnt help.
i have a good heatsink so temperature is fine.

in synthetic its showing blazing "fast speeds" but in real scenario it's not..
could it be an amd issue?
m.2 is up to date.

Yes = copying to and from the same drive?

If so, you will never ever see that theoretical benchmark number. Not even close.

Thats like running a 100 meter dash, while carrying 50 kilos of rocks on your back, and wondering why you're so slow.
Please elaborate? Yes i am copying from the same m.2 drive.. and because of that i am getting lower speeds or what?

Exactly.
The drive is doing two things at once....read and write.

You might only get close to that advertised number if copying to or from a similar, other drive.
NOT within the same drive.

i got another samsung 980 pro 2 tb, did a single copy of 50gb large file, the maximum speed was 2.8 gb per second, (from one to another drive) the second uses chipset pcie gen 4.
