slowly upgrading my computer.

Hi guys, I'm slowly upgrading my computer. which is an i5 6600 (non-K)

I used to have 8gb of ram and just recently upgraded that to a 16gb and also used to have 120gb of SSD which is now a 500gb. As you may see, it kinda looks that my PC is on a dead end now and im not sure on how long can this remain capable of playing games s.a CSGO and other FPS games BF COD. I'm eyeing of upgrading my 60hz monitor to a 144hz which is an ACER 27 XB271HU PREDATOR XB1.

Do you guys have a better idea or recommendation for my glide path on how to upgrade my PC? my current build is on my sig. All of your recommendations and suggestions will be highly appreciated.

I would look at a new GPU if you haven't purchased one. Your 6600 is fine for most current games, but won't be in a couple of years.

you think it's more appropriate to upgrade to a new GPU? I'm a bit hesitant cause I currently have a 60hz monitor at this time. I can upgrade to a new gpu but won't be able to maximize its usage on FPS games. just wondering really.
