Since XP is dead, I am setting up a "new" old system...
I have tried the nForce Professional 2200 installer from Tyan. The SM Bus controller ended up under Other in Device Manager with a Yellow exclamation point.
So I downloaded the latest drivers from nVidia site. The SM Bus moved to System Devices in Device Manager, but still has a yellow exclamation point.
The SM Bus driver version is 4.6.4.0 . When I try to update the driver, I get this message: "Windows has determined that the driver software for your device is up to date."
Both of the Tyan and nVidia packages are labeled for Vista64, but I am running Windows 7 64. There is no driver specifically labeled for Windows 7 that I can find.
Motherboard: Tyan S2877
2 Opteron CPUs installed
Memory: 5GB ECC Registered
Windows 7 64-bit (SP2 & recommended & important updates installed)
Please help!
