I got permission to work remotely (revit/autocad) and will move to Brazil in December. I have a full size gaming tower that is too large for traveling and i'm not looking to spend a lot of money on a new laptop that could be stolen. I think my best option is to buy a small tower that fits better in a bag (in a carry on would be really nice so my monitors can go to the checked bag). My current specs are:

MSI Z270
ATX power supply
Intel i7 7700k
2x 8gb DDR4
GTX1080
2x 256gb ssd
1x 1tb hdd

Im thinking about the cerberus x with the add-on 240mm radiator with 2x noctua A12x25 fans (total $394) https://www.sliger.com/products/cases/cerberus_x/
and add another 2x 8gb ddr4 and a 1tb ssd. I'm looking at the total cost $550, so I have to ask the question, is this what you would do? Or do you have recommendation for a more economical tower? Thanks!

If you wanted to keep all of that, I suppose it is a good option.

Sell the whole thing and replace it with a Beast Canyon NUC? That would be quite the small volume for a desktop computer.

Decent laptop with a thunderbolt port and get yourself an eGPU to keep at home?

Please lmk your suggestions. I've been doing a lot of research and i'm thinking about this.. Take my gtx1080 from my current pc and put it in this build:

Sliger SM550 with 2x Noctua NF-A12x25 PWM 25mm Fans on the bottom ($259)
ASUS Tuf B550M-PLUS ($158)
Ryzen 5 5600x ($290)
G.Skill Ripjaw DDR4-3200 4x8gb ($140)
Samsung 970 Evo NVMe PCIe M.2 1TB ($180)
Corsair SF600 ($125)
Windows 10 $139
Geforce GTX1080 (from old pc)
$1291

Find a used GTX1060 for $200 and sell my old PC for about $600. Probably after tax it will cost me about $1k to build. I don't really need a new GPU because I rarely game. I just would like a modern pc, with 1tb storage, and 32gb ram.
