Question Small chip on screen, will it get any worse than it already has?

A while ago one of my old flat panel LCD monitors got a chip on it's screen, I said "oh well" and left it at that. Now I notice a small black spot around the chip and possibly some discoloration. It's either my bad eyesight getting to me or the screen is getting worse over time. Should I be worried or not?

Use until you can't stand it and then replace. Seems it has been okay for some time now.
