[SOLVED] Small fps drop/stutter only with Steam games

Hi folks,

I have an issue with my new pc, a small issue to be fair, I'm having some slight fps drops in games more like a microstutter for a couple of seconds. For example when I'm playing a game at 60 frames it drops to something like 55 fps creating a visble stutter. This only happens playing Steam games, Rockstar launcher, Battlenet and Microsoft store games don't have this problem. If anyone could help me thanks.

My specs:
RTX 3070 TI
I7 11700k
Corsair Vengeance lpx RAM 16gb 3200mhz
1TB SSD (games om this drive)
2TB HDD
Aerocool aero 80+ bronze psu 700w

Hey there,

Try turning off overlay in steam, see if that helps. What monitor are you running?

On a separate note, consider changing your PSU for something more reliable with your current hardware.
