Hello,

As the titles says I am building home web server.

My internet connection is 1000mbps download and 500mbps upload, optical connection and the cables are underground. Watching at the graph for 2015 and 2016 it has 99.92% uptime. Have 5 dynamic and 1 static IP and I dont violate any terms by creating home server with it. Have 1 good UPS which was for my gaming system... Not that I have any electricyty issues but this UPS can handle 4+ hours without electricity.

Will use UBUNTU

My needs: To host 6 websites, 5 of which are dropshipping websites with blogs and 1 is blog only, all are on WordPress

My overall traffic across all 6 websites is ~500k monthly maybe a little more but not more than 550k with potential to get it to 1m in 1-2 years.

What do you use now for your sites? Are they hosted elsewhere at the moment?

I'm not sure what kind of load you'll see with 500k users/month, but I work for a web-hosting company and using Tomcat, our servers of a similar spec can handle maybe 2,000 users at a time. Of course we're heavy on data too. So I can't really speak for performance, but I am a bit concerned about mashing two 16GB kits together. Two kits of the same make/model can cause memory issues if they were made on different days. It would be best to find a single 32GB kit. Also do you have any kind of backup or redundancy in mind? What if your PSU or SSD dies? It might be worth investing in a RAID1 array at minimum, a backup drive, and one of those fancy new redundant PSUs they have out now (http://www.anandtech.com/show/10352/fsp-announces-twins-500w-700w-atx-psu-with-redundancy-capability).

I am using cloud hosting at SiteGround, at 1st I was using their shared hosting. Overall I am very pleased with them, however I feel the need of a dedicated server which is 150+ euro for the entry level per month.

Will backup daily and upload to cloud+dropbox+external HDD and will save up to 10 backups

The memory is actually 4x4gb = 16, not 32gb.

At 1st I was looking for ECC memory since ppl say they are better for workstations and servers but then I have read a lot about it and actually when does the memory gives errors besides if its damaged or somethings wrong with it at 1st... Is there 1 in a million chance to happen something like this?

Also I have noticed the M2 SSDs however they keep higher temps and may throt + if its not PCI the difference between regular SSD is near zero. And I have 2 of these SSDs on my gaming build and I am pleased with them 2nd year already.

I agree however that the PSU in my list is shit and I shoud change it to tier 1 or tier 2

Also about the case.. I need dust filters. Thats why I have chosen this one + I like how it looks.

And the motherboard, my supplier doesnt have this one but only D3H ( I am from Bulgaria and can't use 90% of PCpartpicker suppliers)

The most users that I have seen at once on my sites was like 50-60 per site -- around 300-400 users at once.
