Hello, this is my current setup. I mostly use it for casual gaming (WoW, Overwatch, FFXIV) and music recording.

Case: Corsair Carbide 100r
PSU: Corsair 550W VX
CPU: Xeon x5472 @3.3ghz (QX9650 equivalent I think)
Motherboard: Gigabyte EP-45 DS3R Socket 775
RAM: 6gb DDR2
GPU: Radeon 7850
SSD: Samsung EVO 250gb
Monitor: Dell u2312hm @ 1080p - 75hz
Audio: Roland Quad-Capture

Yeah, the core setup is pretty old.
I would like to upgrade to a newer intel cpu, motherboard and ram. I want to obtain at least 75fps stable at 1080p.
I'm only buying used, so I guess my budget is under 100€.

Which CPU and socket should I get? maybe an i5 2nd generation or 1st? I don't really know about AMD.

It's a xeon x5472 quad core.

I'll be completely scrapping this computer in the next year, I just need a little boost until then. I'll try to look out for a Ryzen.

There isn't really anything noticeably faster for that socket, just keep what you have until you upgrade everything.

You are basically maxed out (there are a couple better options but that is like a 5% performance increase for a stupid amount of money that will just be wasted). Time to save up and go new.
