I need some suggestions on the smallest possible gaming machine. I'm looking for a micro ATX case thats small yet big enough to handle a PCI express x16 video card. I've been thinking about an Aspire X-QPack, but don't know. I know heat is an issue also.
I would get one of those Shuttle XPC, but most of em have integrated graphics.
The smaller the better, and I want to stay away from towers, trying to keep a low profile.
thanks a lot

Low profile? You certainly don't want a cube then, those things are TALL! Cubes are normally 7-9" tall, while desktops (you know, horizontal cases) are normally 5-7" tall. And you can get even shorter.

Are you building this for portability? Because there are several 5" wide Micro ATX towers available! Those are taller than cubes, but have a smaller footprint (ie, they take up less surface area on your desk).

I only thought cubes would work so as to fit a graphics card in it. I'd like a 5in case, but they can't fit much in it.
Yeah, portability is important, mainly from room to room, but it's important for me to house a decent system in it

What about XBOX? It is small and portable.

Hehe, I used to have a Dell Micro ATX tower that would have worked, it put a full-sized power supply beside the CPU so the think could be barely taller than the motherboard, and it was only a hair over 6" wide. I'm fairly certain it had room for 3/4 length video cards.
