I was thinking about buying some smart devices like lights and such but I know the security for these devices can be subpar.
So here is my plan:
Wi-Fi Router A - for personal pc, phones, slave server, ect.
Wi-Fi Router B - for smart home devices.
Modem with 2 or more lan ports.
Problem:
The 2 routers are to keep the devices on separate networks. Problem with this is I can't find a modem that allows 2 or more devices to be connected via lan ports. The ones I'm finding that do have more than 1 lan port are 1 open and the rest bonded. Unless the modem is also a Wi-Fi router. But to me it seems if I condense Wi-Fi router B with a modem it could create an opportunity for man in the middle attacks for router A being that's it's plugged into the condensed router B/modem combo.
Thoughts, ideas, the modem I'm looking for?
Thanks.
