[SOLVED] Smart TV remote PC access

I have a smart TV with a USB port. Currently, I go upstairs to my PC and copy a file onto a USB Drive, then come back downstairs and plug in the USB drive and navigate to the file to play it. Is there any solution that anyone know of that would enable my TV to navigate to files that are on my upstairs PC via WiFi to save me from having to do the intermediary steps? Thanks.

It depends how "smart" your TV is. Check whether it support DLNA, and enable media sharing on your PC. Both TV and computer must be connected to same network (wired or WiFi),
