So I got a passive GPU that I think might get hot in summer. Luckily my case accepts a 120mm fan that could suck in air and blow it onto the GPU BUT it would introduce a lot of dust to the system which might end up clogging my PSU which sucks in air from the inside of the case. Now there's filters readily available but how would you go about mounting it in a way that allows for dust removal without loosening the whole assembly and ruining the fan by the third time? I was thinking about putting a filter in between the case and the fan as it is the way that allows for some cleaning with compressed air at least even if you can't access the filter properly. I got this: http://silverstonetek.com/product.php?pid=251&area=en It's rather thick but I'm hoping the frame is thin enough to allow for this type of installation. My case is this: https://www.aerocool.com.tw/de/chssis/pgs-c/cs102

I'm German and god knows we have a tendency to over-engineer shit but I DO love it when a plan comes together ;-)

Just buy the DemciFlex magnetic filter,

You can slap it at the outside of your case and it sticks to the metal side panel since it has magnetic edge around it. If you need to clean it, take it off the case and rinse in slow moving cold water. Afterwards tap the filter dry with towel and put it back.

In my Skylake and Haswell builds (full specs with pics in my sig), i have full set of Demciflex filters in use and so far, i'm pleased with their performance and ease of cleaning.
