Greetings. This morning I had to remove a bloated battery from my moms phone. An alcatel 6043d(idol x+). I disassembled the phone just fine, however I run into a bit of a problem with the placement of the battery: The original was glued into some sort of metal sheet with side screws that kept it in place and separate from the back of the touchscreen. Once I removed the battery however that metal sheet's shape became rougher as it was glued to the old battery. Now it won't fit the phone frame and pops out in any attempt to place it inside. The new battery came with no metal sheet. I'm now thinking of replacing it with something else but I'm not sure what. I have no idea what sort of metal the sheet is made of or what role it had in protecting the components from heat or conductivity.
Here's the image of the components. The middle one is the aforementioned metal sheet.

Thank you for your time.
