So recently I've accidentally lightly tapped my LCD monitor screen in a rather rude fashion several times. After doing so a few cracks appeared.

While I do not have a photo of what my cracked LCD Monitor looks like, I did find a photo online that looks a lot like my current screen problem; http://homepage.ntlworld.com/hellochris00/DS/IMG_0543.jpg

I want to know if I can fix this at a PC repair shop or something along the lines of that

All help is appreciated

Kind regards, Potato

It's free to ask them. But highly doubtful it would be that cheap.

Just get a new one. And don't punch it.

It would help to know what model monitor you have, or laptop. If it's a standalone monitor, you might be stuck buying a new one because the new screen, if you can find one, will be likely close to the cost of a new monitor. Also, damage from abuse is almost never covered by warranty, and frequently voids said warranty. If it's a laptop, replacements can get steep, even if you have the tools and skill for a self repair.

Is this a laptop monitor, or a standalone desktop monitor?

The pic the OP linked clear shows it's a laptop.

To the OP, you could buy a new screen on ebay or a repair shop could probably order one but you need a whole new LCD panel, and the laptop itself looks rather old and might not be worth it.

Go find a Goodwill, Thrift Store or even Craigslist you will probably find a 15 inch LCD there for $25 or under just use it for now. That looks like a pretty old LGA775 based Laptop you can't really tell the model number, you should have included a picture of the Manufacture sticker on the bottom of the unit on under the battery. Finding Displays for laptops 7 years and older can be difficult but not impossible, the repair cost will be nearly as much as the unit is worth because it will take a Service Tech 1 hour to do which is $55-$75 depending on the company plus the part $35 and up depending on the supply and Demand.

Yeah I saw that after I posted. :p Without knowing the Make and Model of the Unit it would be hard to say if it is worth repairing. The older the Laptop the less likely you will be able to find repair LCD's. Newer models are fairly cheap and easy to do, well most of them are.

Sorry guys, I forgot to give you guys the make and model of the screen
It's not a laptop screen, I know that the picture that I gave you guys can be a bit misleading, but that's why I also said that the picture wasn't mine. I didn't mean to mislead you guys, I apologize.

Anyway, it's a standalone monitor; Liyama Pro lite X2380HS

"Disposable"

Meaning the cost of the repair is far more than what it is worth, If I can't find a part a Repair shop wont either it will also cost you far more than 60 Euro try 100+.
