(pc case nzxt phantom 530/PICTURES BELOW) I feel so stupid writing this so please be easy on me.. I decided to finally customize the inside of my PC for the first time after using it for the past year and half perfectly. I sleeved every cable possible for the most part and eventually put it all back together. I did everything individually so I know for a fact no cables got mixed up in "inappropriate" locations. I noticed that when I turned on the Powersupply, MB lights were not showing which was the first sign.. I then purchased a PSU voltage tester and tested every cable. All the voltages were running accordingly. I checked that the Case front panels were connected accordingly as well with my MB manual.. Finally gave in and decided to buy a new PSU (Old one 850W EVGA Supernova G2 to:- New 1000W EVGA Supernova GQ(ps: I'm aware it is overkill)) ... After this, still no sign of LED's on MB or anything turning on when pressing the PC Case power switch.. I finally then assumed that the LED's on the MB just stopped working and then disconnected everything leaving only the Front panels, CPU, RAM, and MB Connectors in place before i went and pressed the manual "Power Button" On the MB.. Thats when everything turned on and smoke appeared on the area where the front panel cables are connected to the PC case. I panicked of course and shut the PSU off immediately. So here I am writing this in hopes someone can help me get to the bottom of this. Below are pictures of my panels cable connected, the area on the chip where it got burned labeled as (R5, for anyone who knows what that is), and the button I pressed to manually boot the PC. Thanks for the future responses and sorry for being a filthy casual.
