I have the Corsair RM650x.
While the pc was running, a sound started to come from the power supply and then it started to smoke. I turned of the switch and removed the plug immediately. Smoke was still coming and it was hot.
After few hours, I started it and it booted into windows but I switch off immediately. No smoke this time. Is it safe to still use it?
It is in warranty. Will I get a replacement?
Smoke definitely came off it. But as it is still working, they might reject?
It might have happened due to power surge or something. But monitor and speakers were fine.
Please suggest further action.

Contact corsair.
Possibly the smoke was some residual flux burning off.
But, it could be a symptom of something more sinister.
Corsair is very good about power supply RMA.

Thank you for replying.
I accidentally posted it was RM650 but it was RM650x.
They will check whether it is working and might reject to replace as it will be working. Will they even check it properly for complete range? If they open it, maybe they will see the damage and replace.
Also do they reject saying things if it was power surge it was not their problem so they will not replace?
Thank you.
