Question Smoke

Hi, i would like to know if my graphics card is the problem or power supply as my daughter was playing games then she said the screen went black and a spark from pc box appeared.. i shut down everything then unplugged the graphics card and started the pc with no problems. I then reinstalled graphics card but when i switched on pc i saw a white puff of smoke by the 6 pin connector on graphics card, at that point i removed gpu... so my question is could it be gpu or the 6 pin connector from psu...i must say the gpu had a burnt smell as well but i cant say if the smell was inside the box as well...

Assuming the power cable wasn't bent in some awkward way, my money is more on the video card having a problem that cascaded down the line.

Given the description. I wouldn't attempt to power on the PC anymore until you can thoroughly check the other components for signs of damage. At minimum, it's sounding like the GPU and PSU will need replaced. Can you provide a rundown of system specifications?

I have been running the pc without gpu for over 3 months nw without gpu
