Smurf, Syn/FIN Flood, Vecna Scan etc... HELP!

Hello all, the last 2 weeks have been a nightmare my internet speed has gone from Download: 20Mbp/s to around 1Mbp/s, I think I have found the problem it seems to be the random and confusing logs I am getting the routers security log. I would've posted a log however I have turned off my computer and making the post in the morning (I will try to add a log so you can see what is happening in the near future if it happens again).

I have seen a number of things such as **Smurf**, **Vecna Scan**, **UDP Flood** and the Syn/FIN Scans and flood. My main computer that I use everyday has been scanned with Malwarebytes and Avast Antivirus (Computer scan and boot up scan), they found nothing so I am really confused as to what could be causing the problem, it has hindered me from using the internet and made it very difficult to enjoy when I can actually get on there since it's so slow (Gaming, Watching Streams/Youtube etc...).
I've done multiple tests on speedtest.net and just did a pingtest with 0% packetloss and 1ms jitter 😵

If anyone can help me I would so very grateful to be quite frank I can't actually put it into words how happy I would be for it to be fixed!


NOTE: Have other systems on the network however it seems to be coming from this machine ***.***.*.4

If the router is telling you the scans are coming from your internal network....ie 192.168.x.x in most cases... then you can look at that machine. In most cases this is coming from the internet. There is nothing you can do to prevent this. In many cases this is a outright denial of service attack which means the source IP is likely spoofed. Many times it will come from many thousands of different IP. Some of these attacks are attacking the routers ability to process sessions and in other they are just sending huge amounts of traffic. The ones that attack the router can to a point be mitigated by router settings but if they are just sending traffic there is nothing you can do. You might want to see if you turn off the modem overnight if you get a different IP address. Some ISP its easy to get a different IP and others its impossible.

Never give you IP to anyone, lately it seems some gamers use denial of service attacks to "win" over their opponents in games rather than winning in the game itself.

Cheers for the help, I understand that the IP is probably spoofed as who would be stupid enough nower days to just attack using their own IP. Anyway, I will have to ask the ISP to possibably change the IP address? (Have a static IP).

Now, I only have one problem I do not give out my ip address to anyone I mean literally no one, and the game I play "League of Legends" it's pretty much (to my knowledge) safe. The only thing I can think of is the people on my own contacts on Skype but other than that nothing seems to cross my mind. (I've got the "Only allow direct communication to contacts only" checked but it being Skype it's probably not safe at all).

It appears if someone knows your skype id they can get your current IP address. Not sure exactly how but there is a lot of discussion that it can be done.

Slightly irritating someone takes the time out of their day to do this for what cause? Nothing. I keep myself to my myself and stay out of trouble. I guess I'll have to just remove a lot of people before the ip change?
