News SNES consoles appear to run faster with age — APU frequency increased by up to 182 Hz after 35 years

From what I read, a ceramic resonator will go out of tolerance as they age.
For a quartz based ceramic resonator, it is 0.001% when new.
The deviation is up to 0.3% after a decade, although the pdfs didn't specify if quartz or lead based.
30,040 / 30,000 Mhz is just outside that, although still pretty good considering how old the SNES is.
