While I was overclocking my CPU (i5 2500k), I looked up many guides for stress and stability tests. However, there are so, SO many different recommendations for different settings and durations for the tests.
Currently, these are the tests that I've completed:
30 minutes of the 1344K test on Prime95
30 minutes of the 1792K test on Prime95
20 passes at the Maximum setting on Intel Burn Test
4 hours with everything but Local Disk checked off on AIDA64
2 passes of CineBench
8 hours of the in-place Large FFTs test on Prime95
All done with no errors or bluescreens. Temperatures while testing were all below 75 C. However, like I said, there are so many different configurations for stress and stability testing that I would probably be doing this until next week before I start using my computer normally again.
So, I must ask you, good people of Tom's Hardware:
Am I stable yet? Or do I need to do some more testing? If I do need to do some more testing, what program do I use under what settings?
I've currently got my 2500k at 4.3 GHz at 1.25v. My setup, in case you guys are wondering:
Motherboard: ASUS P8Z77-V Pro
CPU: i5 2500k @ 4.3 GHz (1.25v)
CPU Cooler: Hyper 212 EVO
PSU: Cooler Master Silent Pro 700w
RAM: Corsair XMS3 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600MHz
GPU: ASUS Strix GTX 970 4GB
