Going for a new PC...everything finalised ...just tell should cooler master 450w PSU be enough for my gaming PC with gtx960 4gb...?? Any help appreciated

Solution
Probably yes, almost certainly.

Worth noting that the PSU isnt something you should save money on too much as a good PSU can be used for many years on several builds and it is the source of energy for the components so you don't want it messing up.

What I am saying is, it is worth check the PSU tier list 2.0 here in the forum to see what are generally good and bad PSU models. Most of the brands you see don't make the units themselves and just slap a logo on, so you want to make sure it is from a reliable manufacturer.

From a wattage perspective, 450w is more than enough, your system, unless using some beefy AMD processor shouldnt normally go above 400w at maximum chat.

as a general rule, cooler master psu's are pretty garbage, the only good exception is their V series

I would not trust their non V series 450w with a 960

get a GOOD 500w psu, this is THE MOST important part of a pc dont cheap out on it

So are you saying his system uses 451w? This advice makes no sense whatsoever. 450w is PLENTY.

I agree with the brand though. It is important to note that a lot of coolermaster PSU's have been built by "less than reputable" manufacturers in the past so there is a degree of mistrust in them.

If you go for an EVGA G2/GS or a Seasonic PSU you are almost always in a safe hands.

I'm saying cooler master psu's are garbage, and MAY NOT actually be able to deliver 450w as advertised on top of having crap components

They are KNOWN to LIE about such things.
