abit kt7a/thunderbird...geforce2(still undecided..) and then im thinking ddr 128/256 for mem...anyone have some overclocking results with this board and processor? how about conflicts? any info apprieciated please

The abit board is a good one and the gf2/tbird will be a good combo but can you be more specific on the mem sounds like you want to use ddr mem on the kt7a this can not be done the mobo does not support that type of memory.

well what kind of mem does it support then and what would you recommend? i need at least two 256 dimms...also if you know anything about midi could you give me a few good products to look at? i need multiple channels for midi

This mobo supports pc100 and pc133 sdram in sizes up to 512mb and you can find this type everywhere as it is the current most common.
