So, I bought the WD My Net N900 Central.

According to the documentation, it supports Windows file sharing (SMB) and FTP. So you should be able to address it accordingly.

\\192.168.1.1\<share-name>

(try \\192.168.1.1\public, a reviewer @ Amazon mention that share specifically)

ftp:\\192.168.1.1

Assuming 192.168.1.1 is the router's IP address.

I have no idea what the default security is, if any.

Okay. So I have accessed it. But now there is a new problem. It is only showing as a 128gb drive, not a 1tb drive which I bought. Do you have any idea why this is?

Im outside at the moment so i cant show you, but under the network devices i see a storage, like 51gb free of 118gb or something like that. If you want i can show you a screen capture once i get home.

Well, it says that i have a WD10JPVT which if you type it in google is a WD blue 1tb drive. How do I get rid of a partition?

I know this is a little bit older question, but for other users and you if you haven't figured it out yet. I noticed on the last screen shot that software had the option the format the drive. If you go into that section it will probably have the partitions, and the options to adjust them. Just my experience from partitions and formatting. Hope this helps people out.
