Hello,

So I am not particularly sure if this is REALLY a problem, however I have always wondered why sometimes I may have minor stuttering in some games. I was always thinking "is it my graphics card?", "is it my cpu?", etc. It might be because of how two out of four of my ram sticks are slower than the others causing a performance issue on my system perhaps?

I need some advice on whether I might need some faster ram that actually matches, or that I am getting worried over nothing.

Current RAM: Kingston 4x4 DDR3 16gb, 2 sticks are 1333mhz, the other 2 are 1600mhz.

I only became aware of this because my father had some RAM to spare for my system, it is quite mid-high tier by today's standards but I only just found out that two of the sticks are slower, which might be why stutter is occuring perhaps?

I was looking into getting a 16gb kit of something like this: G.Skill F3-2400C11D-16GSR 16GB (2x8GB) 2400MHz CL11 DDR3-RAM 1.65v Memory Kit

Thanks!

Edit: the rest of my PC parts

CPU: Intel i7 4790k (I only use it for gaming) 4.0 GHZ overclocked to 4.4 ghz (was done automatically via bios, and it seems fine).
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z97P-D3 ATX LGA1150
SSD: Crucial MX200 250GB
HDD: Western Digital Black 1TB (2010)
GPU: Gigabyte Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB
