So I might have a problem with my CPU

Hello, would like to know what could cause this problem,

I have my i5-4460 for 3 years now, since today when I go into bios settings
it saids my CPU is 72-75 degrees?! That is very odd and not good...

A few weeks ago, I re-apply a new thermal paste with a size of a rice grain. It's arctic silver 5
but the motherboard is just floating on 33 degrees so....

But I believe it's time for new CPU...

It's really important to measure your CPU heat in terms of Idle Temp over Ambient Temp and Load Temp over Ambient Temp. Also, your CPU will generate a given amount of heat based on how much power it consumes, so if you temps are rising, it's because your cooler isn't working properly, not because your CPU is generating more heat or failing.

Possible causes of rising heat:
1) improperly applied paste.
2) improperly installed cooler.
3) fan on cooler is failing.
4) poor airflow in case.
5) dust affecting cooler performance.

If your CPU is idling at 75C, then your cooler is definitely not working very well at all. I would question whether it has good contact with the cpu or whether its fan is operating.

It's a pretty decent processor, but I could see where you might want more than 4c/4t to work with.

Hardly think so. Sounds more likely bad TIM spread or the CPU cooler is mounted incorrect.

Hmm its 38-40 degrees according to Speccy when im idle at pc background...
