Question So I put my GPU in, now my nothing will even turn on

I got a new motherboard, cpu, ram, etc. I installed everything but the GPU, installed the motherboard drivers, then shut it down. After everything was off, I unplugged the power cable, put the GPU in, plugged it in and then nothing would turn on. No lights, no fans, no nothing. I took the GPU out and tried it again, no difference at all. Only thing I can think of is that the motherboard got shorted somehow... Someone, please help me out here. And if the motherboard did get shorted and is now dead, everything else is fine, right?

Update: Came to the conclusion that the MOBO was fried... Put in my old one and worked fine.

so just to make sure, you didn't forget to hit the power switch?

also check for any exposed or pinched wires, that'd be about the only reason for a short i can think of

does you mobo work without gpu (at this time, which got fried as u said)

Replying to all... I’ve tried every possible thing, doesn’t work with roller without the GPU, no wires pinched or anything... I tried every single possible thing that could be causing a problem... I most likely just forgot to unplug the power cord, was tired as hell st the time and that probably did it. Thanks all for the help though.
