I updated my bios on my Gigabyte X570 Gaming X and after i opened up my pc , my E drive SSD was formatted .
I am not sure why that happend , but I've updated my bios before and this never happened.

Could someone explain , I might reinstall my windows.

Which ssd model you have how old it is.
Try change sata cable or sata power cable.
run hdd ssd in bios on ahci mode.
Have you load default setting after bios update it is must.

Hey man , this is just odd man , last night everything was smooth , the ssd was working , next morning today I wake up to it formatted again . It is a Kingstone 480 GB gray one , have it for a couple months now , I did have another one , same as this one that I sent in service for repair , but they ended up replacing it with the same one.

It's not formatted. It's unallocated. Not the same thing.

You can try Minitool Partition Wizard free - partition undelete function. Might be able to get deleted partition back.

Also make sure fast boot is disabled in BIOS. If you connect/disconnect a drive with fast boot enabled, weird things happen.

I come once again back here , because my ssd is doing same thing ,I tried what you guys suggested ,might have to send it in for repair . I realized that after coming off the boot menu the ssd gets formatted and then I would have to go into cmd and make a partition for it.
