so I want to build my gaming computer because my Dell XPS 8500 is in no way to upgrade..

Can I take any parts out of my old computer and put it in my new computer? Or do I need to just sell this computer off and buy the upgrades instead? What should I get? I want 60 FPS at the best graphics, but not completely expensive. I want a GTX 780 TI graphics card... what else?

Depending on how much room is in the case you might be able to just add a graphics card and change the power supply (to support the graphics card) without any other upgrades. However, even if it fits, a new case would give you better airflow. For gaming, 8GB of ram is enough, and that 3770k should also work fine.

The depth/ 17 inches and the width/ 7 inches and the height is 16 inches.

A lot of people keep talking about the possbility of bottlenecking with the cpu or are they crazy?

I was looking at a 750 W PSU with the 780 GTX TI GPU, maybe even a better case ? I wouldn't mind a see through one either.

That I7 you have is more than fine for now for gaming. However, i don't know if you will be able to over-clock your CPU in that Dell, or if you even want too. And if you can, you will need to ensure you have a good aftermarket cooler on that CPU. 8 gigs of RAM is fine for a mostly gaming rig. And of course, you hit it on the head with that 780 Ti and the need for a better power supply. As for the case, it might be able to suffice in the area of air flow. Can you post a link of your dell and the case it's in now?

Your CPU will be fine with a 780ti even without overclocking it. Like thunderdan said, even if you wanted to, you may not be able to overclock the CPU because the motherboard (Foxxcon?) may not allow it, but you probably won't need to OC it anyway.
