so I want to play need for speed the run but it requires 3.00gb of ram and I only have 2.00gb will it at least work fast enoug

What are the rest of the spcs of your PC?

If it requires 3gb minimum, I wouldn't recommend playing it on only 2gb. You will more then likely see major performance/crashing issues. When a game calls for a minimum amount of any specs, whether it be ram, cpu, gpu, ect, it's always best to have a little more then what it calls for so you have a little more head room for other tasks that may be trying to access those items, like the operating system.

my laptop is running Windows Vista and meets standards for the game like a intel core 2 duo processor running at 2.24GHz when the app requires 2.00 GHz and I have nvidia drivers I forgot what type it was though.

You can try it, but I am willing to bet it will run very slow and crash on you. There are minimum requirements set on games for a reason.
