So many ram choices...

Im planning on upgrading most of my pc eventually but for now im really feeling ram constraints at 4gb so im looking to upgrade.
This is my current mobo
Gigabyte GA-MA790FXT-UD5P

im looking to upgrade to this in the near future
AS Rock LGA1155 DDR3 SATA3 USB3.0 Quad CrossFireX and Quad SLI A GbE ATX Motherboard Z77 EXTREME6

So ideally i would like something that runs well on both. Originally i was looking for 8x2 sticks but im wondering if with four slots 4x4 (as opposed to 8x4) will be more than enough for a very long time...
I dont know much about brands, im currently using some corsairs. Id appreciate any suggestions.

DDR3 2800+(OC)/2400(OC)/2133(OC)/1866(OC)/1600/1333/1066
Maximum Memory
32GB

And both of them support 4 x 240pin Dual Channel

So, it looks like you have to do 1333.

do you think 16gb is worth it over 8gb, i know pricing is pretty linear right now. Can you explain what dDR3 1666(O.C.)/1333/1066 means? im guessing that it means 1666 overclocked 1333 default?

Will something higher than 1333 work on my mobo? Ive heard that it will work it just wont be fully utilizing the speed.

bump, apparently vista 64bit home version caps at 8gb ram, so im gonna do 2x4 but still havent decided on speed.

Ok, what that meant is that the only MHz speed supported by both Motherboards are 1066 and 1333.
