So my current processor is a AMD A6-6400K APU with radeon(tm) HD graphics 3.9ghz and I was thinking about upgrading to a AMD FX-6300 six-core! I got a few questions

Would my pc become quicker?
Would the processor fit?
Is it easy to install?
Would I need a new graphics card?

Solution
1) Depends on what you're doing. The FX CPU has more cores, but they are not faster cores than your current CPU's. I would recommend going with an Intel CPU instead - a Core i3 costs around the same and is generally a better choice.

2) No, the FX-6300 does not fit your motherboard. It fits into socket AM3+, whereas your motherboard has socket FM2+. So, you'd need to change your motherboard, which also means you'll need to replace your copy of Windows (most likely).

3) If it would fit into your motherboard, yes. However, a total system overhaul is slightly more involved.

4) The FX-6300 does not come with an integrated GPU, so you would need to buy one. Intel CPUs do have their own GPUs.
