[SOLVED] So my GPU past Heaven Benchmark's but crashes in Doom 2016...why ?

I have GTX 1070 and OC'ed it and it ran a stable test in UNIGINE heaven benchmark program. But it crashed in Doom in like 20 seconds. I thought that these benchmarks were much tougher then then actual real world gaming. Is there a better bench marking program ? Thanks

Doom 2016 isn't that hard to run. I suspect there are other issues at fault, not your gfx card. Let's try to eliminate as many software conflicts as we can before digging into hardware.
Run CCleaner and do the Clean and Registry portions both.
Run Malwarebytes to see if there is poorly written malware present.
Do a full virus scan.
Disable as much as you can that you have starting with Win. Check the Tray for stuff you can disable and run on an as-need basis only.

Finally, list your system specs.

I've done all of that, PC is a new build from 3 weeks ago. 9600K/1070. Can it be a the Geforce drivers try a diff one ?

71c during benchmarking. Not tested during actual gaming can't be far off though.

Is there a better bench marking program ? What do all the pro's use ? I ran the program for about 15mins by the way.

Heaven only tests the GPU. You also want to check the CPU. Download Prime95 and give that a whirl.

Or just disable the overclock and if it's stable then problem solved.

Do you really need to overclock the 1070? what resolution & refresh rate are you going for?

1440p at above 90fps as possible. Just really need a good benchmarking program I believe.

Overclock is unstable. Period. Actual gaming IS the best stress test
