so now how am i supposed to release the gpu ...

Hi so its me again so i tried to pull my old motherboard pcie x16 old retention clip that looks like this ...

so what i did is i pulled it gently then after more force it broke. Now im not sure since when i try to remove the gpu from the motherboard it didnt go out through. so i dont wanna force it to remove it out from the pcie x16 slot because im afraid it would break. So yeah how am i supposed to release the gpu

well you put your finger in and pull it too the side its only a piece of plastic

If it broke off all the way you could just pull the gpu out. But you said it's partially broken off so try to pull it back again and if it breaks off completely it's fine.

i tried to but i think its still locked in since it wont let go. Im afraid to use brute force because i think it would break

They are a pain in the ass for sure, Sometimes lifting upwards from the opposite end of the GPU from the tab, you can lift it out slowly by wiggling.

Try putting pressure on the tab while lifting the opposite end of the GPU. This should let you get the GPU out.

The clip holds the gpu, so it doesn't slides out easily if u shake your PC.

I cant remove the gpu with the pcie tab broken. And i dont want to remove the gpu by using brute force because it may break it. Help me how will i remove it??
