Hello everyone,
New to the forum so let me start with a little bit of background. I'm 21 years old and have been interested in computers since about 11. I've recently decided to dapple in some computer modifications and building . I decided to start with taking a old Dell Demision B110. I've upgraded in the following ways
1. installed a Geforce 6200 2656mb Pci gpu
2. upgraded to 2 GB DDR SDRAM
3. upgraded to a SL6PG (Intel Pentium 4 3.067 GHz)
My question is there any way to unlock the dell bios on a intel 865gv chipset( i know unlikely however cant hurt to ask ) to allow for overclocking? Then More importantly would like to know of a motherboard i can purchase for overclocking abilities. Preferably a Motherboard that has a good reputation without a lot of hassle for overclocking. Socket is 478 with a P4 HT SL4PG Northwood running at 3.0.
Any advise or suggested components is appreciated. I don't mind invest a little bit of money nor am i trying to have this computer the fastest it can run; Mainly trying to learn more about building and overclocking as well as just earn experience along the way.
Thanks to all.
