socket 939 board, mounting athlon x2, advice?

I want to put an AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ on a socket 939 Asus A8N-VM CSM mainboard. I have watched videos on how it is done. But are there settings I must do? Thank you.

Attach the heat sink as well. You have old parts so if it doesn't drop right in, look for bent pins. And make sure that 3800 is a s939 and not an am2. They came in both types.

Most likely not. Double check that its running right once you are in windows. But it should be all auto.
