Ok, running a Mobile XP 2500, in an A7N8X-D V2. ATM the current highest
voltage selectable in the BIOS is 1.825 (1.850 is the highest usualy in
the BIOS). Now from looking at the socket view on http://ocinside.de/ to
make it 1.850, do I presume some of the connections already exist?
As if I select 1.575 that is the CPU's default voltage, you can see most
pins should already be bridged. So am I correct in assuming that?

Just would be a nice thing to try before I do a voltage mod on the M/B
at a later date. Any other advice appreciated!

A7N8X-D V2 (1007UBER), XMS3500C2 2X512M, Mobile XP2500 IQYHA0407VPMW,
Corsair Hydrocool 200EX, etc

Sure they exist, on the CPU itself. I used one wire to take my default
1.6v cpu to 1.8v. You also need to read the wrning about using the vcore
mod with boards that support voltage changes. BTW, you won't gain much
going from 1.825 to 1.85, I don't kbow what you're trying to accomplish,
but if you want high voltage you should consider modding the voltage reg
on the board to increase every value. But if you bornup your cpu, don't
say you weren't warned of the dangers.🙂

Oops.🙂

You can find what's bridged and what's not here.

Thanks for the info!

Did the mods today on the socket, all went well :)
1.850 is available in the BIOS now, also bridged it so the CPU thinks
its natively 166FSB not 133FSB. It is now stable at 220FSB, up from a
high of 210 as before. Still searching and tweaking for the sweet spot,
but a real mod is definantly in order in the future. That shall be when
I have enough money to replace the M/B and CPU incase anything goes wrong :)
Wasn't worried about the wire in the socket mod, been there done that
before on other CPU's. *evil grin*

Thanks again,
